Very helpful tutorial! Thank you for going slow and showing all your

how much do the hardener and resin cost?
I have a couple of questions for you, if I may… What kind of molds did
you use? Silicone?
Also, I see other crafters using a heat gun to blow out the bubbles. Can
you use a blow dryer in place of a heat gun?

if you have polyester resin but no catalyst will it still dry?
for some reason i can’t find catalyst/the other chemical property that
needs to be used in order for the resin to be dried faster

change the batteries in the smoke detector? Turtle wax for mold release has
been top choice, and bottle a and b in a nice warm bath will de-bubble when
they mix.

polyester resin but my cast has turned out sticky even after 48 hours of
letting it dry. Am I doing something wrong?

Nice video, thank you very imformative. Not sure what all comments about
noise were. Lol yes I heard the smoke detector beeping, however after
first two goes once I realised it was not mine and I wasnt burning the
toast again, it didnt bother me at all. Also you have a nice relaxing
voice. I like people not speaking too fast in videos, then I don’t miss
anything. As for the barking I missed that so shall have to play the video
again just to catch it :). Good starter video for resin as I have not used
yet and you covered all the points. TY.

sanding and polishing the finished products? I’ve done one set and they’re
not really shiny and need to sand edges. Can you give me your thoughts

You need to change your smoke detectors battery…
also, are you using a wax dixie cup? I have tons of those that I would love
to use instead of other cups.
the puffy paint you are using in this video is it the kind you use on
clothing? i love the color that you got with it and that is including the
glitter. LOVE IT! Where did you get the glitter from?

Awesome, thank you for the video. Im just starting to use resin and have
had the hardest time finding an easy to follow video. I dont know why some
have to complain about stupid things. The beeping and the dogs was not
distracting to me. I have to look for the video of the pop out. Wanted to
see the results of the hello kitty mold. I bought one like that and Im so
excited to use it.
Why didn’t you seal the stickers? Some people seal their stickers before
putting it in the resin.
Could you use the Baby Oil to help the resin come out of plastic molds too?
Or should you use the resin release spray?

deaf or something, because that sound is not annoying, and neither do u
have a creepy voice, I thought u were being funny. Ppl I guess really have

Thank you for an insightful tutorial. I have two small vivacious and loud
kids, I hardly even noticed the beeping LOL
I would love to see this tutorial again, but that high pitched beeping from
the smoke alarm made me stop just a minute or so into the video! It’s super
annoying!!! Plz remake this video, I would love to watch it without the
noise and the dog barking in the background! Use a fan next time!

thanks for making this video 😀 very helpful. i made my first resin pieces
in a plastic candy mold (using 2 layers or resin release) , 12 hours later
they are completely stuck. have them sitting in the freezer right now
hoping they will come out so i don’t have to tear the mold. definitely will
use baby oil or Vaseline from now on until i can get some silicone molds.

That’s probably because you don’t mix it right or don’t put the same amount
of liquid from both bottles

You should definitely give it a try and post your results on Youtube! I’d
like o know that too. I think Elmer’s clear glues, however, my be too
flexible and fragile. But someone should definitely experiment! Maybe
combine the glue with some sort of harder. I’m not sure!

I don’t know if it’s the resin I’m using, but my resin dries really fast, I
can’t even mix it properly. and when I try fixing my bubbles or something
like that, it’s just like glue. I’m just starting off . any tips? :/ I mix
the same proportions of resin and hardener. what am I doing wrong? D:

beacuse ive tried before
Can you just use clear glue if you are under the age of 18 because I wanted
to get into doing resin and I saw it was expensive but I didn’t know it was
toxic so I wanted to know if clear glue like Elmers clear glue in like a
squeeze bottle will workfor doing resin
