This is the second video in a set of jewelry making tutorials. In the first lesson, we covered the materials and tools to get started and looked at some basic techniques. In this lesson we build on those techniques and look at bead wrapping, using headpins, and connecting top drilled beads.
I have never seen anyone start a wire wrap by wrapping the wire that will
go through the bead(s) around the wire that will be cut off. It seems that
it would make the construction less strong because the cut end might be
pulled out of the wrap. That can’t happen if the straight wire was going
through the bead(s). Have you ever had any such trouble wrapping the wire
that way?
